Kayla Ziefle is a UCM graduate with a bachelor’s degree in English. She worked with Arcade Magazine, where this piece first appeared, as a managing editor and poetry editor. Kayla was also the Assistant to the Poetry Editor for the online literary magazine Pleiades Press and completed a summer internship with them. She has conducted two interviews for the Pleiades Press Winter Issue 2019, and they can be seen on the Pleiades Press website. Kayla currently lives in Kansas City, MO. The author wishes to credit her cousin, Mitchell Dill, for contributing to the illustrations for this piece.
